So today, I’m driving along the road, it’s really, really windy, and I see an elderly lady sitting in the middle of the road like a sack of potatoes. HAZARDS ON! Indicate. Get the side of the road. Out of the car, asap. Blood everywhere. Car behind me stops. We all pile out of our cars like clowns. Amazing. We’re all helping. We’re all women. The lady is conscious, but bleeding from the back of the head, profusely. Is a little confused. She’s easily in her 80s if not older. Decision immediate: I call 999.
Ambulance being dispatched.
Bus driver pulls up behind our cars and objects to being stopped in the middle of the road. FYI, there was more than enough room for him to get around. Male bus driver. Male car driver behind bus pulls out into the opposite traffic lane to get around – driving dangerously. Bus driver keeps demanding that I move my car, despite the fact that I’m on the phone to emergency services giving them directions and answering their questions.
Ambulance comes, lady shipped off. Move car.
