Wonder Woman
Jun. 7th, 2017 10:35 pmI’m getting right proper fed up with this trend of killing the heroes for the blatant emotional manipulation in Science Fiction/Fantasy movies
Wonder Woman
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Logan
Star Wars: Rogue One
et cetera
I don’t go to see Science Fiction/Fantasy movies to be miserable, I get enough of that in real life. I go to suspend belief, see the good guys win/bad guys lose and enjoy myself.

Though going back to Carson's death in SGA, why they think we need a character's death to make the story "real" or give it "punch", I have no idea. Do any of these folks live in reality?

Grim, gritty essence of realism in the story-places, which were mostly about suspending disbelief, by killing the heroes.

But, maybe this helps a bit?
