With each good Atlantis story that I read, I sigh and grumble that we still have about 3 months before the show returns with season 4.
Great fic and love the jokes about John's hair. Believe it or not, many in the service do have it a bit long though not so much that they are really out of regs. It's only when you're heading over to someplace hot, dusty or just plain miserable that you tend to shave most or all of it off....Or you're a Marine
I can't remember how hers is styled; I'll have to go back and watch the ep. However, if it extends beyond the bottom of her collar, her bangs touch her eyebrows, it is thicker than 4 inches, or it is obviously colored and doesn't compliment the uniform she's out of regs. Also, if she's using any type of pin, scrunchy, whatever to tie it back, it has to be as close to the color of her hair as possible. I've been away from the military for over 3 years and I still can't stand for my hair to be long or for my bangs to touch my eyebrows. Talk about brainwashing.
